Ocu-pore Porous Orbital Implants are comprised only of synthetic, medical grade, hydroxyapatite and have a controlled microstructure designed to support soft tissue ingrowth. Ocu-pore is available in a range of convenient sizes. The material is manufactured using a proprietary synthetic process which allows us to produce a highly porous, fully interconnected, biocompatible ceramic matrix similar in nature to that found in human cancellous bone. The product provides a macro porous structure that serves as an ideal scaffold allowing rapid and complete soft tissue penetration throughout the entire implant. The device is permanent and will not resorb. Once integrated the device can easily be drilled to accept a motility peg if required.
